About the Event
Two full days of equine first aid knowledge & skills. Join up for just one day or both! Start your showing and trail riding season off right!
Day 1 - Equine Emergency First Aid: Saturday April 20th, 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs. We will cover colic, choke, pain detection, common hoof and skin ailments, eye injuries, wounds, vital signs, when to call your vet, and much more! All for only $169 per student. Includes lunch, a professionally bound, take home manual, certificate of completion, and vitals signs card.
Day 2 - Advanced & Remote Equine First Aid: Sunday April 21st, 0900 hrs - 1700 hrs. We will cover assessing a horse’s confirmation and health, conditioning your horse for use, grievous wounds such as impalements and disembowelments, pneumothorax, flail chest, severe burns, how to prepare your group for a trail ride, first aid kit contents, what to have on hand and prepare to shelter in place, and much more. Only $169 per student. Includes lunch, a professionally bound take home manual, a certificate of completion, and a laminated barn card. The Equine Emergency First Aid is a prerequisite.
