We met and started working with Mike Brennan a couple of years ago. He started by doing a colt starting demo at our Family Fun Day which people still talk about. The next time we saw his amazing talent, he came and conducted a Colt Starting Clinic last fall for a very fortunate four horse and rider teams. Once we got to see Mike in action, Lee and I wanted to send our horse Tatanka to train with Mike. Tatanka is a 3 year old gelding and has been the practice horse around here when we need a green horse to demonstrate with. What a great experience! Mike worked patiently with our guy, leading him to put his energy to a purpose and now that the green has been kindly but firmly worked out of our favorite gelding, Lee can now get to work cowboying with his "Tonka" (lovingly nicknamed by Mike and his crew over at Unity Ranch). You have to stop in a Tombstone, they have exceptional hours. With an easy to get to shop. Did I say the shop is on a working horse ranch?? When you drive up and see several horses you know this isn't a fashion shop, but you can get western wears here. Walking up Lee took the time to say hello even though he was busy working horses. As you enter, it is very Ranchy/Western and you see saddles and feed and leather goods. There are also bits for gift cards, soaps and gift wears. More importantly, the information and extended welcome I received from Jewel was "down home". I came in to get the Tombstone coffee cup and have a look see. The 40 minutes I spent was like I was over at a friend of 40 years. Everything in the shop is quality and can be worked without fear of let down. They have artisan leather works as well as name brand goods. Tombstone is also well connected with the community. In the time spent, I learned of two local rodeos and events that they sponsor. So it is also a Learning Center! First visit and I cant wait tp get back! So if you are into western wears or have horses; you've got to go here! Thank you Tombstone
